AIH Newnan Presents Colors for Life 2018

Come join us for a wonderful evening celebrating Neo-Classical Ballet performed by Southern Arc Dance Theater with choreography by Paulo Manso de Sousa, a musical score composed by Dale Lyle and strings directed by Dr. Lyn Schenbeck.  The program will include all the colors of cancer, as reflected in ribbons in the cancer colors. 

We would like to give a heartfelt Thank You to the Newnan Cultural Arts Commission for their support in the fundraising effort of SAIH, without whom this evening would not be possible.

Evening Schedule

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. 
Seating at 6:45 p.m.
Opening welcome statement and summary of the evening’s performance at 7:00pm.

ACT I – Tricot – Knitting
To “Bring Together”, a musical and dance interpretation of how it feels when someone finds out they’ve just been diagnosed with cancer.

ACT II – Getting Through – Getting Over
Getting around the wall, over it, under it, by any means necessary while battling cancer.  Everyone faces different challenges and this is well depicted in the interpretive dance. 

Intermission
Discussion of the Fund a Patient Program and Patient Panel Interview with Joe Talley.

ACT III – Free
The Finale, REJOICE!  Freeing the patient from the cancer with a performance by The Center Strings directed by Dr. Schenbeck and including all of the Southern Arc Theater dance students along with the performers. 

After the ballet ends, you’re invited to stay for refreshments and mingle with the dancers.
