Privacy Policy

While Southeastern Assistance in Healthcare, Inc. ("SAIH") is not a financial institution and is not required by any laws to maintain confidentiality of information submitted to us, we respect your privacy and are sensitive to the issues that applicant patients may be facing. We collect personal information to enable us to aid patients financially as the result of illness or injury, including persons other than the patient who have necessarily incurred expense directly relating to and for the benefit of the patient. We receive information from assistance applications and other forms that are submitted to us which provide information such as patient name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, date of birth, Social Security number, occupation, assets, income and expenses, including costs incurred in connection with treatment for illness or medical condition.

SAIH is committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of applicants’ personal information. Only the Assistance Liaison and those members of the board of AIH and those officers of AIH who need to have access to personal information to determine the appropriateness of a grant are authorized to review applicants’ personal information, and solely for that purpose. Persons who have access to personal information are required to maintain and protect the confidentiality of that information and must follow established procedures. We maintain procedural safeguards to protect applicants’ personal information. We do not share information that is submitted to us with any other business or entity unless specifically requested by the applicant to do so.
